Account Opening Procedure

Individual / Joint Account/Individual Professional Investors

  • Original or certified copy of Hong Kong Identity card or passport of the account holder(s)

  • Original or certified copy of address proof dated within the latest 3 months (e.g. bills from public utilities, bank statement etc.)

Corporate Account

All documents should be Certified, may be certified by

  • a solicitor/notary public practising in Hong Kong

  • a certified public accountant practising in Hong Kong or

  • a current member of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries

The certifier must sign and date the copy document (printing his/her name clearly in capitals underneath) and clearly indicate his/her position or capacity on it. The certifier must state that it is a true copy of the original. (or words to similar effect)

  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation

  • Copy of Business Registration Certificate

  • Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company

  • Details of ownership and structure control of the company (e.g. ownership chart)

  • Copy of Names of all directors (Register of Directors)

  • Copy of identity card / passport of the directors

  • Copy of Register of Members

  • Copy of identity card / passport and recent residential address proof (within 3 months) of the members (For those beneficial owners holding 25% for normal risk situations)

  • Extract of Board Resolution

  • For Company incorporated in Hong Kong

       - Company Search (issued within 6 months), e.g. Annual Return 

  • For Company incorporated overseas

       - Certificate of Incumbency / Certificate of Good Standing issued by the company’s

         registered agent (within 6 months)
